Auto Spare Parts Interpreter

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customers spare parts requirements and source using a range of online parts catalogues and references
  • Identify and quote for the required parts by email within the shortest time
  • Processing customers orders in a timely manner and complete relevant documentation such as purchase orders
  • Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional and courteous manner identifying their needs and responding with a sense of urgency
  • As a spare parts sales interpreter have expectations to seek further sales by delivering a high level of customer experience to our customers 
  • Handling incoming customer queries by phone , email or in person regarding spare parts
  • Provide quotations to customers in an efficient and timely manner
  • Keep Spare Parts Manager appraised of day to day parts requirements
  • Order parts for emergency situations if required.
  • Generate spare parts business by associated selling, and advising customers of special sales promotions
  • Understand and adhere to the requirements of the company quality systems, policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrate experience in a similar role for at least 2 years with focus of delivering great customer service
  • Spare Parts sales experience
  • Strong computer and administration skills including MS Office
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and great personal presentation
  • Have a great automotive parts knowledge and passion for cars
  • Possess excellent priorotising
  •  organisational skills
  • A background or previous experience in a similar role will be a distinct advantage
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Be a team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and phone skills
  • Experience with automotive parts interpreting or parts sales is Essential
  • A technical background in Turbochargers would be advantageous
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role
  • A drive for selling and assisting customers
  • Outgoing personality with a can-do attitude
